A decorative table lamp in the Tiffany manner, combining a sculptural
stained glass peacock with an ornate jewel-toned dome shade.
The figural peacock base is rendered in colored glass panels of
sapphire blue, emerald green, and amber — the bird's flowing tail
cascading down toward the base in a display of overlapping jeweled
"feathers." Above, the half-dome shade is composed of hundreds of
individually leaded glass tiles in geometric and floral patterns,
featuring deep amber bands, viridian green diamonds, and richly
cabochon-set borders that glow when illuminated.
Constructed in the historic copper-foil technique developed by
Louis Comfort Tiffany, the shade allows light to pass through each
panel of art glass, creating a rich mosaic of color when lit.
